WHAT EVERY ONE OF US CAN DO TO PROTECT THE CLIMATE.
Every Austrian now collects more than 110 kg of packaging and paper waste and 9 kg of e-waste (WEEE) and batteries every year. We want more, though: We want all waste back so it can be recycled – all packaging and every single electronic device and battery. Recovering secondary resources helps save primary raw materials, which in turn helps protect the climate and the environment.
Every one of us can do our bit, both by preventing waste and by sorting waste. We provide a nationwide, convenient and high-performing infrastructure for the separate collection of waste materials. If consumers are unsure how to sort their waste, they can contact the local authorities or the local waste association, where around 260 waste consultants across the country will be happy to answer any questions they may have.
